Radio Kansas Arts Calendar

4th Annual American Indian Festival
Date: July 12, 2014, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM
Venue: Century II Expo Hall - 225 W. Douglas, Wichita
Sponsor: Mid-America All-Indian Center

The Event:      Unique cultural celebration that preserves time-honored traditions and puts a spotlight on American Indian artists. Bring the family and be surrounded by art, song, dance, Kansas history and culture. Watch a Contest Powwow with American Indian dancers representing tribes from around the country. Shop in the Indian Fine Art Market where you’ll find rows and rows of one-of-a-kind paintings, jewelry, shawls and more made by renowned and respected American Indian artists. Plenty of fun and hands-on learning opportunities for children to enjoy as well as Indian Tacos for sale in the Food Court. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for elders and military, and $3 for youth ages 6-16. Under 6 admitted free.
