The Historical Museum is pleased to offer the first National History Day Prep Workshop, presented by two experienced NHD teachers, Wendy Donaldson and Barbara Brotton, in concert with the Museum’s Educator, Abby Miller. This hands-on NHD Prep Workshop is open to incoming 6th through 12th graders and explores the 2016 National History Day theme: Exploration, Encounter, and Exchange in History. Students will gain access to exciting resources through technology, the Museum, and the Wichita Public Library, beginning their NHD projects before the chaos of the school year and encouraging students to enter the Museum’s special contests also. Two Sessions: June 23rd – 26th from 1:00 - 3:00pm OR July 21st – 24th from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Admission to the Workshop is free but registration is recommended by contacting the Museum at 316-265-9314 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
