Opening Weekend Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13 Young children will encounter how similar city living and country living can be at this immersive, hands-on, interactive exhibit area. • Find out how food gets to our dinner table from a farm. • Learn about healthy food/eating and go to a farmer’s market. • Discover natural resources that make things move such as sun, wind and water. • Nestle in a meadowlark’s nest. • Climb through Kansas on the gigantic Seed to Sun wall. • Crank water to fill a cloud, then watch it “rain.” • Become an “on the spot” mechanic and repair a tractor. Plus many more experiences that spark interest – even in the youngest of learners – in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)! Included in general museum admission, free for members.
